Cock Tavern (Soho)

Soho and around W1

A board appeared here in 2025. It is close to the bar, but by a no-service section, so actually well situated. Feels like an afternoon-in-the-pub type of venue, and is a very welcome addition to the guide. The pub is stunning.

Rosy Hue

London Bridge and Borough SE1

At the back of the vast sports bar is a lonely looking board, which, in 2025, was probably in the worst condition of any board in central London. Seeing as the board has only been put up in the last year or so, this suggests that it gets some use. This place will become a […]

George

London Bridge and Borough SE1

A proper locals community pub, with an excellent darts area to the left of the bar – albeit one which appears to be in a thoroughfare for the smoking area. Lots to like here.

Tokenhouse

City EC2 EC4

The board is downstairs in its own dedicated area, making this an excellent central addition to Capital Arrows. It’s a confusing pub, which doesn’t seem to know how posh it is, and which was oddly busy at 12.15 on a Tuesday visit in 2025.

Katzenjammers

London Bridge and Borough SE1

Five dart board in a row in a cavernous German beer hall in the middle of London. Well, well. Darts launched here in the second half of 2024, and has proved rather popular – so much so that to play at weekends and on Friday evenings, you need to reserve a table downstairs, and then […]

George & Dragon

Soho and around W1

The board is downstairs in the slightly musty games room. The throw is narrow, but this is therefore an excellent place for a lunchtime practice. There’s not a lot more to say about this pub, so you may be interested to know that George is the patron saint of Ethiopia, as well as England. You’re […]

Lucky Saint

Soho and around W1

So you can take darts out of the pub, and you can’t take the pub out of darts, but can you have darts in a pub which is best known for low & no alcohol? Yes, of course you can. The Lucky Saint opened in 2023 in place of the Masons Arms which never made […]

Horse and Groom

Soho and around W1

A decade after this very traditional Sam Smiths pub removed their dart board for absolutely no good reason, someone put it back in 2024. Happy days. It’s on the right hand wall in the small bar area towards the dining space – so it’s a something of a thoroughfare, but roomy enough. It’s a Sam […]

Barley Mow W1

Soho and around W1

There’s a dart board at the back left of the pub, but that doesn’t even tell part of the story as to why this is such a great place to throw darts. Firstly, this is one of the finest pubs in London, and a must for any history-pub lover. It is more than 230 years […]

Three Tuns

Aldgate E1 and City EC3

Hidden away around the corner in an upstairs bar is a very useable dart board. Like a lot of edge-of-City boozers, this pub can get very rammed after work, so being able to get on the board may be something of a challenge. But if you can get on the board, it looks like a […]

Duke of Somerset

Aldgate E1 and City EC3

A dedicated darts area sits on the right of the pub, on the way to the toilets. There was a dart board here some years ago, but nobody every played as the nearby Still and Star took all the limelight. With the S&S boarded up, the Duke is back. And they have a new board […]

Feeney’s

Aldgate E1 and City EC3

A proper London version of a proper Irish pub, with a dart board on the right near the entrance – except on the days that the league team plays, when it is moved to the other side of the bar, where there is a little more room and fewer people doing craic. A stereotypically warm […]
