All central London’s darts pubs have been closed since Friday 20 March this year, which means that, for the first time in a century, you can’t play darts in a pub in London.
There were 80 pubs on the Capital Arrows list when the lockdown started. The worry now is how many will make it back.
Darts in pubs in London has been dying for several decades, and whilst it won’t be the most significant worldwide impact of Covid-19, it is quite possible that the pub game will never recover.
Of better news for darts fans is the boom of darts at home. But this is scant consolation for those of us who take huge pleasure out of chucking arrows in a boozer.
