Old China Hand

Self-styled Best Closed Pub for 2020 and 2021, but yet to re-open since the pandemic and undergoing a re-furb in 2022, at least according to the note on the window.

This is a fine, independent pub-cum-bar that has been one of the best dart pubs in London. There were previously two boards at the rear of the ground floor and another couple in an upstairs room. This is one of the few family owned freehouses in London, and everything on offer is from family run or privately owned businesses in the UK. Plus, you can play table tennis. Cracking. If it reopens.

Been to this pub?

Tell us when you last played there, so we know the board is still up – and do leave any interesting (clean!) stories while you’re at it.

  1. Hi
I am the owner of Old China Hand and would like to thank whoever wrote our review as it really made my day. There’s another very British thing about my pub and that is everything we sell is from the British Isles (as I include our lovely neighbour Ireland) and that even includes our English wines!
    Thank you again,
    Rowena
