Cock Tavern (Soho)

Soho and around W1

A board appeared here in 2025. It is close to the bar, but by a no-service section, so actually well situated. Feels like an afternoon-in-the-pub type of venue, and is a very welcome addition to the guide. The pub is stunning.

Horse and Groom

Soho and around W1

A decade after this very traditional Sam Smiths pub removed their dart board for absolutely no good reason, someone put it back in 2024. Happy days. It’s on the right hand wall in the small bar area towards the dining space – so it’s a something of a thoroughfare, but roomy enough. It’s a Sam […]

Duke of Somerset

Aldgate E1 and City EC3

A dedicated darts area sits on the right of the pub, on the way to the toilets. There was a dart board here some years ago, but nobody every played as the nearby Still and Star took all the limelight. With the S&S boarded up, the Duke is back. And they have a new board […]

Walrus and The Carpenter

Aldgate E1 and City EC3

A separate downstairs bar contains a very welcoming darts board, albeit surrounded by tables. Caters for league teams in 2024, and generally very welcoming. As the bar is only open some of the time, however, there are limited times when the board is available.

The Gladstone Arms

London Bridge and Borough SE1

A fantastic pub where darts is a low priority, but that shouldn’t stop you going there. The function room upstairs has a (fairly tatty on 2024 visit) board, but there are many better reasons to visit the Glad.

White Horse

Soho and around W1

Central London’s first wine-led pub with a dart board, which contrary to my cynical expectations looked well used on my 2025 visit. (Although wine-tasting was preventing a throw). I wouldn’t expect to bump into someone I know on the oche, but I’ve had a friendly welcome. I even coached two competition-winning Germans here; long story.

Spots & Stripes

Waterloo SE1

This is, and always has been, a pool hall with darts, and a very welcome one at that. The interest in darts seems to vary year on year, but in 2025 darts seems important once again, and the six boards are regularly fully booked in the early evening. If you are new to the venue, […]

Sir Sydney Smith

Aldgate E1 and City EC3

If you like a pub with a dart board and a lot of bricks this is for you. There is a large and good quality dedicated darts area, it’s a friendly boozer, and the website even tells you when the board is available. All in all this has become one of the best places to […]

Moretown Belle

Aldgate E1 and City EC3

In one of London’s newer quarters (which is obviously also really old), right next to a massive Waitrose, sit London’s floweriest darts area. With three boards, this is an excellent spot where you can nearly always get a game – with, in 2025, a super-helpful manager who even replaced a board for my match (which […]

Williams Ale and Cider House

Aldgate E1 and City EC3

Three boards situated next to each other at the back of the pub, and consistently helpful staff, make this a good place to throw some darts – although it can get very loud and busy, particularly in the early evening. Also, the oche is a bit wonky. Which can be a very useful excuse for […]

Dog

Aldgate E1 and City EC3

The board is in the conservatory, which sounds a bit posh, but isn’t – and the space had a recent re-fit so in 2025 is a very lovely place to while away some time. The Dog lost its truck in recent years, and is now part of the Feeneys Irish Bars stable, so drink the […]

Old Tea Warehouse

Aldgate E1 and City EC3

Home to Darts Club Aldgate – a room downstairs in this intriguing bar/pub with two self-scoring smartboards. I kid you not!! [Insert clever science explanation]. Unlike some of the dartatainment venues (google Flight Club), the bar staff insist that you can use your own darts – although I’ve never played here, and never seen anyone […]
