Aldgate E1 and City EC3

Where The City meets the East-End, this is probably still the best place in London to guarantee a game of darts at almost any time during weekdays, although 2017 saw the beginnings of the grip reaper of ‘development’, notably with the closure of the once-mighty (but never very nice) Peacock. This area is also somewhere where you can find large numbers of men in ill-fitting suits drinking pints on at lunch-time.

Pubs highlighted in gold are 5 star and highly recommended.
